Chromatics - Cherry
It might be a bit silly, but do other folks like to just sit down and lose themselves in a song? I never used to. It started off as background music, but I’d find myself stopping whatever I was doing and just drift with what was coming from the speakers. This has been happening more often than not with Chromatics. Their glossy synth has a tendency to lead me away, and I’ve recently had their wonderful summer release, Kill for Love, on repeat. Cherry doesn’t appear on there, though. It’s one of their additions to the upcoming Italians Do It Better compilation album, After Dark II. Normally I’m not big on compilation albums, but I think I’ll have something new to drift to soon. I can’t wait.
